Suzanne Maystead, O.D.


Dr. Suzanne Maystead received her Doctorate from Michigan College of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry as well as Board Certified by American Board of Optometry. Dr. Maystead was a Clinical Associate at MCO for five years. She began her practice in 1980 and became very well known and prominent within the Portland community. She recently has sold her practice to Dr. Kempf-Andrews, so that she can enjoy her horses more, play piano, and cheer for MSU!

Krystal Kempf-Andrews, O.D.


Dr. Krystal Kempf-Andrews is originally from Mulliken, Michigan. She is a Grand Ledge high school graduate. She received her Bachelors of Vision Science from Ferris State University and her Doctorate from Michigan College of Optometry. She enjoys working on several committees with the Michigan Optometric Association and participating in the Special Olympics Seeing Eyes vision screenings. She has traveled to Dominica five times for VOSH (Volunteers of Optometry Serving Humanity) eye care missions. Dr. Kempf-Andrews focuses on all aspects of primary eye care, including complex contact lens fittings and InfantSEE exams. When she isn't devoting her time to Portland Eye Care, Dr. Kempf-Andrews works part time with a retinal specialist and is an independent contractor for the Michigan Department of Corrections. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their new son.
